'First in, first served!'

Isn't that just common sense? If I'm the first one in, shouldn't I expect to be served first?

  1. Are you in McDonalds? I guess this question depends on where and why. Sometimes we may need to consider other people and their needs above being first.

  2. I like your thinking. I received an e-mail with this tag line (first in, first served, and no, it wasn't from McDonalds) as a marketing ploy to get me to buy. I've noticed an upsurge in sites that try to get us to impulse buy - 1day, grabone, treatme... they use phrases like this to lure us... I wonder what our learners make of this, and other such sayings. Anyway, I better go... someone might beat me to the Puma Polo Jersey for only $19.99...I'd hate to miss out... who knows, I might even wear it one day.
